UNIVERSITY OF WARWICK POETRY TRAIL (poems from Microscopia)

 

This poetry trail was one of six major legacy projects undertaken in 2025 to celebrate the university's 60th Birthday celebrations. It is composed of 14 posts permanently displayed across green spaces on Gibbet Hill campus, including the ancient bluebell woods (Tocil Woods). As the poems are printed onto transparent panels, you can also view the changing landscapes behind them. This added dimension allows for shifting interpretations across the seasons.

The entire collection of 70+ poems can be found in my book Microscopia  published by Pindrop Press. The work emanated from my role as poet in residence from October 2022 - 2024 at University of Warwick's School of Life Sciences. This project focused on helping to promote women in science and developed out of conversations with 13 female scientists about their incredible research.
